    Hey guys,

I just had a question for anyone who has had experience working with the largest brokers. I know you could probably factor the invoices from the largest brokers, but my question is: do all major/Large brokers offer quickpay or do some not have quickpay available? What is your experience like? Trying to wrap my head around how common it is for the largest brokers.

Most of the large brokers I spoke to did offer quickpay, but I don't want to go through each one? Are the terms they offer usually pretty reasonable?

I can speak for no one but LS. We have the Landstar Savings Plus program, which is 48 hour pay for 2% (I believe). You'd have to call the carrier qualifications department for more information.

Most of the larger brokers do offer quick pay. Terms vary from one broker to another. I have see discounts from about 1 1/2-8%. There are a couple that I know that don't discount the rate for quick pay. Days to be paid under quick pay are from the same day to about 8 days from receipt of the paperwork. Most pay 24-48 hours from receipt of paperwork.

Thanks, G/Man. My apologies in advance if this is an answer you're uncomfortable sharing with me, but can you tell me which brokers don't offer a discount rate for quick pay? I can PM you if you prefer :)

Think all I've worked with so far offer something...and many have several versions of it, taking a higher percentage the quicker you get your money. I held off going to a factoring company for two months, but when the A/R got to be $15,000 I decided I'd better have that option for when I get a second truck going. I actually like CHR's plan, 1 1/2% for two days...about as good as I've seen, though I believe Mercer is free for quick pay, just have not run anything yet for them (run dry van and they have limited dry van freight). Any that charge more than 3% I don't use their quickpay, I'll factor those or let it ride; Allen Lund is fairly quick to pay even without quick pay, so have not used it for them, if they even offer it.

WHen you say all, do you mean all the brokers you've worked with or all the LARGE brokers you've worked with?

For a mega-broker to not offer up quick pay - it would be comparable to a large fast food chain offering up water as the only drink, no soft drinks.
