I understand that TNV, but with Swift arrangements aren't always identical at every school location. And as far as where students are housed, the recruiters are pretty well informed.
For specific information on the Millington TN location I'd suggest you contact Oldnew, he's very helpful and I believe that's where he attended. I could be wrong......it's happened before.
But in Phoenix, it's a motel and two years ago and one year ago they were 4 to a room in bunks.
Good luck.
Do any of the CDL-Training Companies take care of lodging?

oh I believe you. I was just thinking if I got a room key I could use the bathroom and area for studying but keep my stuff locked in my blazer and sleep out there. I value my privacy...and my belongings. I don't have many of them lol.
-
What I sent you has a breakdown of the training in it also. Good Luck!!

I'm sure you could. I know I wouldn't want my stuff pawed through by others, including motel staff. The motels you'll be put into are not the greatest. I'd keep my stuff in the trunk of the car and not take anything I valued a great deal. I do know the people in my class that were housed at the motel studied together, had cook outs and really networked. So it has it's benefits.

That's true. And I didn't mean to sound antisocial or anything. Just come nightfall, I'm ready to disappear for a while.
See, I'd need to find the money somehow just to get some of the stuff on most of these 'lists'. Flashlight, gloves, etc. SO that's mainly the stuff I'm referring to. Stuff like gloves and things for work just seem too easy to get stolen. I have a laptop but I'd leave it at home until I got my own truck.
Things were easier when I was in the military and all of it got issued to me lol. -
Doesn't sound anti-social to me. I love people but I need some time alone each day.

San Antonio school is two a room

Well,, being a recent grad of Millington,,I can tell you it's 4 men to a room,,yes,, 4 separate beds,,lil kitchenette and bathroom.
As for getting your DOT physical before you go there,,DON'T,,unless your state requires it to obtain a CDL permit. If you get a DOT physical before you go to the academy,, it will be a waste of money,,for they don't even use it nor recognize it.They will give you one there,,by their own docs.
This part of Swift is the best part,,it's AFTER you get your CDL's that your screw'd with Swift,,lol
You are USED by your mentors for them to get paid for YOUR hard driven miles,,while YOU get paid a messily $67 a day. Then they can treat you like scum and get away with it,
You will be lucky to get a mentor that will actually teach you something, and not just use you for miles they get paid for,,GOOD LUCK -
Well I'm not getting paid jack right now because I'm unemployed. I made a mistake several months ago and quit a job because I had a better opportunity lined up. That opportunity fell through..and I've been out of work ever since. And since I quit on my own power, I can't get unemployment. And I really haven't wanted it. I want a decent job. Something that brings in better than 200 a week. Which is about the only type of job I can land right now, other than trucking.
I've read these forums for a long time and it seems every starter company has nightmare stories about their mentor. Just goes with the territory it seems. -
Once upon a time... Way back in the last century, circa 1994, C.R. England use to also provide food vouchers to used in the on site cafe at the SLC location. I do not know if they still do that or not.
