Driving right at the limit makes you stick out, if you ask me it screams, don't pull me over please you'll find out I'm hauling drugs, drunk, high or whatever, but I also can't drive 55 without feeling like I'm falling asleep so take it with a grain of salt, or a cup whatever.
Do cops give a rats case about 55mph in california??

One thing I learned many moons ago. DON"T make GENERAL comments about LAW or DOT enforcement officers. Those that do generally find themselves eating said words. You might run 80 MPH on I 10 in Riverside County 364 days a year. Then you run into that one officer on that one day that will be there and make a case. I can't tell you how many times I have seen this happen. ME? When I was in California (as well as the other split speed states) I generally hung around 60, maybe 63.

I have seen mostly local Texas cops sitting on overpasses and other high places with binoculars looking for drivers not wearing seat belts. I also want to remember seeing an Oklahoma cop doing it too.

All comes down to situational awareness, you have to pay attention.
