Bills say 45000lbs .... air gauge was a little low scaled it, drives were just under 32k trailer just under 44k....
Back to the DC , they take 3 skids off the tail, seal it up give it back. It's still really tail heavy, 39500lbs on the trailer, drives 33k now, so I head down the road.
First stop, I'm not allowed to break the seal or touch it... they cant get the roll up door open... use the forks on the stacker..... and find....
Over 6 ft tall stacks of heavy juice and yogurt, EVERYWHERE. No load bars, no straps, dont break them down.
Oh well.![]()

WTF.
Try getting a gig hauling logs.
15 minutes to load, no seals, load is pretty much indestructible, 10 minutes to scale and unload at the mill.
You have bunk scales and tell the loader operator how much wood you want on your truck.
I've seen so many crashed and rolled logging trucks, they just call a self loading logging truck to come get it, and deliver it.
No truck stops, nobody backing into you, the men are real men, no snowflakes, and money is good.Vampire, Kyle G., shooter19802003 and 1 other person Thank this. -
That’s the kind of crap that drove me out of that segment of trucking.

It's why you never just fling open a door, THIS is what could be behind it. Do you have any idea how many times this has happened to me? ALL,,,,THE,,,TIME,,,it was simply part of the job. More than once, I had to have the forklift pry open the rollup door, and deal with what lay behind. Now,,, I got paid by the hour pulling an icebox,, so I didn't care if the crap was oozing out the door, I made great money restacking it, and the best part, the dock crew, who are generally schmoes that can't wait to load the wagon and hit the bar before it closes, gets a well deserved axx chewin' from the boss. Unless you haul straight loads in a reefer, like 20 pallets of cheese, this is what goes in a reefer, all kinds of little things, and usually unstable. Many times, with such irregular shapes, the dock literally runs out of load bars. Quite frankly, I don't see the problem here, you asked for it when you said, "sure, I'll do it, how bad could it be?",,,
