Yes.. just as most people who ask the "Who does hair follicle testing?" are truly just interested in which companies conduct those tests. The OP could have actually been curious about why someone would want to be tracked.. but this is a trucking discussion boards and when someone asks a leading question that is structured so poorly.. It appeared to be another trolling question.
Do Folks Want to be Tracked Every Inch They Go?

Might as well ask if folks want every minute of every day tracked.
Because that's what driver's logs do.
Every minute of your life, on record.Lepton1 Thanks this. -

I love not being tracked by my company too. And yes, I know for sure I'm not being tracked. My boss can barely check his email. If he was tracking trucks, he would be asking me 10 times a week to show him how to do it again...
-
Here's why I've found tracking to be a plus:
Rolling into SLC on I-80, heading to Provo with a load from NY. Delivery wasn't for 2 days; I always run ahead of schedule. Dispatch calls me, says they have a load headed to Memphis but the driver is out of hours. We swap loads; he gets his 34, I get to keep the wheels moving.
If I was worried about being tracked, I wouldn't carry a cell phone.Lepton1 and joseph1135 Thank this. -
About the last thing the owner of our company would do is install tracking in our vehicles. I don't think he even knows what a GPS is.
I don't even carry a phone on runs anymore. I leave when I leave... and I return when I return.
