Do I ever need to do a manual parked regen without the truck asking for it?

Not saying I'm right but, in the two trucks I've owned with this clean air nonsense ( one current ) I've never done a parked regen...
How many miles are on the truck? Possibly the filter is full or getting there and needs to be cleaned or changed?Siinman, Oxbow and Jubal Early Times Thank this. -
Unless the truck is telling you to park. Dont worry about it. Keep going and let it finish the regen.
Jubal Early Times Thanks this. -

Whatever the problem is, you're already derated 25%. If you don't get it fixed you'll find yourself on the side of the road. You need to contact your shop.

This popped up. Guess this is it.

Ya better find a safe exit ASAP so you aren't sitting on the shoulder. Probably just a stupid sensor. Bad thing is, it's Memorial Day weekend...Oxbow, Numb, tscottme and 1 other person Thank this.

You are having issues with the emissions system. Get it into the shop ASAP before it shuts you down. You should have enough time to find a decent truck stop to get into.homeskillet and JonJon78 Thank this.

Try the parked regen with AC off. The additional fans can make the heat insufficient to burn off the particulates. I didn't believe it, but had a truck regen for a couple of hours and debate due to AC running.

I dont think that makes a difference with the A/C being off, but I could be wrong
