Do I ever need to do a manual parked regen without the truck asking for it?

My dispatcher told me the same thing. I'm about 35 mins from a Speedco. Gonna do it there Incase it makes it worse. Wish me luck lads.

It will be back .. If it goes on and off like that . it probably a sensor. See if you can get the codes off of it. It should be stored as an inactive code.. Its best to get in front of emissions problem rather then wait until they shut u down

Parking and doing a parked regen is NOT going to make things worse and it might fix your problem. I would do a parked regen.

They might be able to clear the codes but highly doubt they carry any sensors. Not sure about international but on cummins right at that mileage, prime suspect is NOX sensor.

Seems holiday weekends are when poop hits the fan on trucks, welcome to my world. Best of luck bud.

I doubted it myself, but it was the last thing to try troubleshooting before going into a repair shop. Regen on highway didn't do it, parked regen ran for nearly 2 hours and went from parked regen being available to being required. 30 minutes after turning off the AC regen cleared codes.

Mine did that when the DPF pressure sensor was going out. Derate warning would come on then go off. I'd keep rolling since it's a long weekend and see what happens.

Welcome to trucking, where Murphys Law is out in force. Equipment issues don't happen when they'd be convenient, they happen on loads so tight (and already repowered), when there is nobody else to recover them, or when you're headed home.
