Well not exactly. I had an idiot pull out in front of me trying to cross the highway and got hung out in the travel lane because someone was already in the median trying to make the turn. I clipped the car next to me trying to avoid disaster. Didnt get ticketed, still should have clobbered themRideandrepair Thanks this.

Agreed. The OP came in here to get a reasonable answer to his question, not a lecture.Rideandrepair and Speed_Drums Thank this.

The short answer is yes, you can still get into driving. Your options might be limited though by the outcome of your situation.

If the Lawyer gets the ticket dismissed, good. The fact you were involved in an accident will remain on your DL record. As suggested, clean up your story. Apparently and Basically and my car hit hers, isn’t the best way to explain. If you beat the ticket for leaving the scene, depending on what gets negotiated, you may still be found at fault. If not, She merged into you, and spun you out. Non preventable. Could have been much worse. No one got hurt. End of story.

You've now learnt a very valuable lesson in life so you are now all the more wiser, I notice quite often in traffic that the instant reaction of people is always to swerve to avoid the other vehicle who may be about to hit them however if you swerve and then hit someone else then you become at fault as you've now swerved into them so always run into the person at fault not into a person not at fault and remain at the scene of the accident and get their details in some cases nowadays you are not always required to phone the police if the incident based on damage is under a certain value, anyway it saves wasting their time. After all they have more important things to do like eating donuts and writing up other traffic violations. Take photos of the scene this is the best evidence you will have to present your case, if you take off however you won't have anything to provide as proof and all you will have is your word against there's.Rideandrepair and SoulScream84 Thank this.

I had a lot of speeding tickets in my younger days, but this was over 10 years ago. We're talking 20ish tickets within a 3-4 year period. I've since changed to be a much more patient driver.
I haven't had a ticket in over 5 years, never been in an accident and never had a DUI. Would my past tickets hurt my odds of getting a job, or would this affect me at all?Chinatown Thanks this. -
5 years clean shows you're cleaned up your act.... you should be fine

Companies usually ask about tickets during a certain time frame.
Read the applications carefully and don't list any that aren't asked about.
Companies will find out anyway, but for now they're only interested in the time frame that's asked about on the application.
The applications will ask about tickets within the last 2 yrs. or 3 yrs. or 5 yrs. etc.
Companies can find your entire driving history, but what is asked for on the application is what's important.
Be prepared for hair follicle drug test.
