Deal with Portland and Seattle area and Bay Area and SoCal area, and deal with chain laws a few times and the many follies of Wyoming, and the 115 degree days layed over in Phoenix with too many trucks and too little freight, and you'll see it's not all sunshine and lollipops out west.

Once you get used to it the North East isn't all that bad. Especially, once you get into New Hampshire and Maine. Two of the most beautiful states in America.

That sounds like Sunshine and Lollipops to me. there's really good teriyaki chicken up in Seattle and there's really good carne asada down in Arizona and Southern California.
I haven't really had a decent meal in about 7 years

Heh. That's what they tell you. The O/O I'm currently running for said, and I quote - "we rarely go to the NE"....I left out just over 2 weeks ago and I've been to MA, Long Island NY, and RI...and not all at the same time.
    Meh. Nothing but a thang.....

Why do people think its all about rolling to and from on a major interstate,? there's more to it.

The only time I like driving in the Northeast is when I see it in my rearview mirrors.
It's the congestion, narrow roads, old parts of the city that are congested and narrow even for cars.
