I run the SF Bay Area everyday. Sometimes I question my own sanity. You should've seen the steep hill I had to deliver on in San Francisco today :(

I agree. Everyone gets worked up over the northeast, but after you've done it a couple of times it's fine. Granted, it's not like driving through west Texas or Nevada, but it isn't that bad.

I wouldn't mind the northeast if parking was more plentiful and the loads were longer. Pennsylvania isn't terrible for parking but anymore east and parking becomes a PITA. There are times where your customer doesn't allow overnight parking and the nearest parking is 100 miles away.

Chicago may be "the windy city", but WY is the windy state.

The NE would be great...if I was paid hourly, but I am not, so it isn't.

Just this morning I was crawling in traffic on I95 in Northern Virginia which isn't even NE proper. No accidents, no construction lane closures, in fact nothing at all to explain the traffic tie up other than just the volume of cars on the road and this was 11am well past "morning rush hour".

I was seething just watching my time tick away for minimal income. Doubt I would feel that way if I was paid hourly.

I live in philly, so every home load and every start load are in this town. Philly, Baltimore arent bad, NYC and Boston are terrible. The worst is 95 from Richmond and north. You could literally end up in traffic all day if you dont trip plan correctly. Hit morning rush in DC/Baltimore, Lunch Rush in Philly, and get to NYC in time for evening rush.....or the reverse........i have to deal with it, got no choice.....but I run expedite, so once i leave the area, i dont take any loads on the mentioned section of I95 until its time to go home

In a way, that's almost more frustrating. If there's construction and lane closures or an accident at least there is a reason for the slow go, even tho it is still frustrating. My company sent out an email over Qualcomm warning about this total eclipse that's gonna happen and how people are going to be flocking to these areas where it's most visible. Apparently Nebraska DOT already banned oversize loads the day before, of, and after the event. So that'll be fun. If it's not one thing it's another.
