Hello folks , new here and can,t start a new thread . Need some help with 2290 . I'm trying to work for an American company(NFI), from Ontario, Canada . They use US plates ,so they asked me to get EIN and 2290 . I got EIN yesterday . Now 2290 . I found its about if I use US roads . What you guys recommend , should i go ahead and file 2290? I'd appreciate any info from you buddies , Thanks
Do I need a 2290 when working only in Canada for US company?

Welcome to NFI, I'm an O/O with them also, Like Cat said you need to pay the 2290, I use this ExpressTruckTax Sign in | e-file IRS Form 2290 and get your stamped Schedule 1. What account are you going to?

You need it for any vehicle doing 5500 miles or more per year in USA, over I think 26000 pounds. Does not matter your nationality or where your base plate is from.
