I mean I don't own a house but I have a car, and if I get an OTR job then I don't need a car either right?
Maybe I sell it? Or if I wanna keep my car, can I put it in the trucking company's parking lot or something? Because I don't own a house so no place to keep it if I wanna keep it.
Do I need a car for OTR

I'd always recommend having a yard car, if nothing else - gets you around to the store, motel, mom's house, whatever, while you're at the terminal. If your truck goes into the shop all day, it's nice to have something to do, and I've always helped other drivers out by offering rides to Walmart or whatever...or to a decent resturant.

what if you lose your job for whatever reason? .....keep the car

but where would I keep the car? I mean I don't have a house, can I keep it in my trucking company's terminal or something like that while I work?

Most trucking companies have a place to park your POV. If not you can make arrangements at a storage facility to park your car. I did that once mainly because of keeping the truck secure when I come home and couldn't park it at the house. I would park the truck and jump in my car. $50 a month.

most companies i drove for had a place to park my car for the time that i was gone.

Yes, and its usually fenced in, or at least separated from customer traffic... no guarantees, but makes it hard for bad guys to have access.

Its best to not leave the Ferrari at the yard waiting for you.
Take the ford ranger....
