The obsession with birth certificates is because relatively few Americans have a passport. I have had my passport rejected as identification several times, because the FORM says "birth certificate". The hamsters in the wheel aren't going to deviate from the form, of course.

I see what you are saying, but it is still mind boggling that a paper document that might be 40 or 50 years old with no photograph of the person named within holds more weight than a passport that has a relatively current photograph and which will have had much more extensive checks done before it was issued.

As they say, common sense isn't very common.

    Easy route?
As in i left my house June 23 for orientation in Allentown for Werner. Firat trainer's truck blew up in new mexico, then he went home.( only had 57 hrs complete and minor non preventable in Albuquerque ) 2nd trainer has been a god send. But a 3 day repair in pheonix and 2 days in omaha getting his new truck, and his 4 days hometime he put off so i could get some hours in and coming up to a holiday weekend our load cancelled and we're stuck in SC while i have less than 20 hrs training left. I won't probably test out and get my truck until next Tuesday. Real easy huh?

    Easy route getting the job.

As Cranky said you were warned what a dung hole that company is and how much of a struggle it would be. I have no doubt that it's not easy for you right now @BostonTanker

Myself I'd rather do the hard work up front and find a good job from the start. No awful trainers, no sitting around for days at a time, etc....

there are some that will take you but you will have to ride with a trainer for some time before they give you your own truck

Correct, unfortunately it didn't pan out. I'm at my required hours. We will see what happens next. They're not as bad as everyone says. Every maintenance request I've put in has been fixed without incident. New trucks and trailers are being circulated in. Just do the job

    MJ1657 Thanks this.
