We run from Ohio out to MA pretty regular and get on the thruway at NY/PA line and stay on it all the way to the Mass Pike. Don’t even get off for fuel.
We don’t have HUT stickers and I asked my boss about it. He’s the one that said we didn’t need themLite bug Thanks this. -
Your boss is wrong or maybe you misunderstood him. The only thing you avoid by running the Thruway is NY IFTA miles as they're exempt on the toll road. You drive through NY no matter what you need a NYHUT account.clausland and Jacoooooooo Thank this.

You'll be cited as well. I went through this as a company driver years ago. We were hauling military HHG (an exempt commodity) but the NYSP didn't seem to care and cited me anyway. I had a very difficult time getting that BS off my PSP too. Ended up getting the Feds involved to force NY to remove it.

It’s over $800 ticket. The cops love it easy work.
ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this. -
Don’t care much about PSP. Don’t intend on leaving guy I’m with, he’ll take the financial responsibility and I’m getting close to being done out here anyways.

Don't believe it, ok, let us know how that works out for you. @ProfessionalNoticer is spot on, only IFTA miles are exempt on the toll roads. Unless you run AG plates, HUT permits needed for over 18K#, thruway or not...ProfessionalNoticer Thanks this.
