It seems as though the trucking industry is really trying to become extraordinarily "clean" by imposing all kinds of strict standards in reference to drugs, alcohol, past history (especially if one has been convicted of a felony), and employment history. In many respects, it is an excellent way of either avoiding or eliminating future problems.
The downside to all this is that it penalizes people who have cleaned up their acts, but cannot "shake" their pasts.
Are all these standards coming from the trucking companies, their insurance companies, Department of Transportation, or a combination of all three? -
There are some companies that only pull a 3 year MVR.
Anything prior to that, they don't care.
The problem is, you have to find one of those companies.........
And none of them are talked about on here,
because they won't be a huge bottom feeder outfit..!! -
Good thought, though. -
Not only that but those old dui's can be expunged.
