Do independent contractors leasing pay more in taxes?

    Rule of thumb- keep all truck and business expenses seprate and keep a good file system. IRS and State can and do audit any time and go back as far as they want if they find irregularity. 2- what ever you make , pay the IRS there quarterly estimate, and your state also. Remember if someone handsyou a check and/ or pays you for the job, it is income and taxable. A good CPA or accountent can really save you time and effort years later

    You pay both your half of the fica and the companys half(also you). At tax time the company half is a deducttion on your taxes. Not a credit so you don't get it all back, but every deduction helps.
