Do mega carriers like J.B. Hunt and ODFL make any money off of their warehouses or does their revenue and profits come solely from running trucks?

I was confused about what these warehouses are, I didn’t know if they were lots for their drivers or revenue generating facilities. Do you know any information about them?
-
BennysPennys Thanks this.

Just really how much they make in revenue, I looked up financial records of them throughout their years and always saw revenue and profits from their driving divisions, but it never mentioned revenues from their facilities and when I went to check. It looks like they have 250 support and maintenance facilities and 20 cross docking facilities. That’s why I was wondering if they’re used solely for their company employees or if they outsource their services to other carriers?

Do you understand how large these businesses are, and how many streams of revenue exist?
There would be less than no way to know how much profit a single building produces.Texas_hwy_287, rockeee, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 3 others Thank this. -
I understand that, I just didn’t know if they used these facilities to store freight their company moves or if they provide space for other companies and owner operators. Every division they have is listed that generates revenue, except their facilities. Which is why it made me believe they don’t produce revenue.
BennysPennys Thanks this. -
