Do non compete agreements hold water?

6wheeler this was my angle on the whole situation. In todays society one can not expect to work for one company for 20 30 years. Yes this still happens but not likely. So taking that into consideration my view is how can an individual be expected to be held to this standard. Kind of like a company will expect an employee to give a notice before leaving but they can let you go without any. Yes you may be able to sue but really...
