OPI, I had a similar experience with my RMN GPS, it didn't work properly and after weeks of frustration calling I just gave up and bought a Cobra. I explained my problems to so many people at the company and always got the same response as Mark is giving you now. Constantly defending RMN return, repair policies. I said numerous times, Just give me my money back, I am on the road and don't have time for this mailing back and forth. I wanted to just go to a TA and exchange it but no that was not their policy. Its a pity because every one person that has a bad experience will bad mouth the product. I hope you get satisfaction but i would say you will do like me, throw it in the garbage, buy a different one and tell everyone you meet not to buy a Rand Mc Nally. Good luck.
Do not do not do not buy the rand mcnally tnd710.. Do not.

a lot of people swear by them. and a lot of people agree they totally suck.
i don't know how ANYONE can swear by them. cuz i'm on the sucky side. -
....errr, mine has been working great. So much so that I put them in all 4 of my trucks dumping my TomTom's and bought a 510 for my personal car....so I guess they are not all junk.
Hanadarko Thanks this. -
Never had a single issue with any of them.
Oh it does stupid or annoying things at times but they are not a 'defect' and just a personal thing I dont like.
I would like to see more options to disable or tweak the software but remain hopeful that new software releases
will offer such changes.
I have never understood why guys have had so many issues with these.
After all I picked mine up at truck stops...nothing special there.k7tkr Thanks this. -
