As an unbiased observer, seeing more positive comments than negative on this thread and in the forum in general concerning Schneider, and it is common knowledge that people have a much greater tendency to vent negative about a subject rather than praise it.

Considering Schneider for me as an entry level position in the bulk division, I have not been dissuaded yet, I still consider them an option after all I have read about them.

Consider, also, the OP has not returned, nor has he/she offered any details. I think the Minn Kota fitting.

My advice to anyone starting out is to go to Schneider Bulk, get some experience and cash it in. I had a great time with Schneider, good money and great treatment. But there are much higher paying jobs out there, you just need some experience.

But I don't think they hire in Alaska so you may need to move.

No details? He said they got fired, because like with most large carriers they treat you like a 2 yr old and have more rules then the IRS.

Ok there is a detail, he claims termination over a laptop stand in the cab and, claims they owe him $$$, but no circumstances, and no revisit to expand or rebuke.

I smell a fish market near by.

As to being treated like a 2yo, I can relate, that is typical of most any company in ANY profession, etc. One has to learn how handle it, or move on.

Sorry, but even most truckiing outfits let you talk into a headset. You should really check around if you think pumkins overboard policies are like everyones.
    Thats just not factual.

    What is not factual?

At this point I care not what their policies are, I am not an employee, nor am I a prospective employee. If and when that changes, I will take their policies into consideration before I accept, or refuse a position, that goes for any company.

Evidently, according to current and past employees of Schneider, and what one can surmise from the OP, The OP committed policy violations which can be grounds for termination, he has no one to blame but himself, he accepted their policies when he accepted the job and then disregarded and violated them. He has no recourse, nor anyone else to blame.

I don't see why everyone has to be a total phone #####. Is it really necessary to gab away on the phone all the time? Personally I like the fact that I have an excuse NOT to answer the phone. And if you are such a slave to your phone then just wear the #### headset and talk on it while you are driving. Violate the rule if you want, whats the chance you get caught? Just don't wear your headset inside a terminal like some of these halfwits do and you won't get caught. Oh yeah, it's also probably not a good idea to call operations or the safety department while you are driving. Just a thought
