The only time I have asked for long forms are when the short form is not is possession of the driver or when the short form is unreadable. For example when the driver washes his wallet and destroys it.

Of course, I don't see any reason why they'd want to see it... I'm not morbidly obese, nor are my lower legs black with gangrenous diabetic ulcers (yes, I see drivers like that occasionally!). -
Maybe someday drivers will stick together and take a stand against crap like this.
If you dont stand for something you'll fall for anything....Aaron Tippin -
What a bunch of crap, this counrty is so far down and out and these jerks are just making it worse. Is sad that things have got this bad and they dont seem to be getting any better.

During my last Level Two in Florida, I could not find my medical card which was mixed up in all the useless junk accumulated in my wallet, I knew my long form was right there with my truck registration, insurance, etc. I handed the long form to the officer, who commented that he didn't think ANYONE carried a long form with them, and set it on the side while I continued to search for my card. Whenever I finally found my medical card, he handed my long form back to me without looking at it; he did take a good look at the card, but wasn't interested in the long form.

I really wonder about the reasons and techniques behind their 'survey'. It would seem that the questions seem to serve little purpose in defining whether a driver may be fatigued. But, possibly, the way in which the driver responds to, and how he does answer, that may show fatigue. Not knowing, needing to think about details, etc. Or being irritable. Which will be everyone due to the fact that its all B.S.!
Perhaps the questions are just a tool in measuring fatigue simply by the way the driver acts. And an excuse to get in the drivers face up close and personal. Either way, its just wrong wrong wrong! -
I believe it would be proper to take the survey AFTER the officer takes it first.

What the $&&&()%##!! &(*&&^%%%& $$T^&###!!! do you mean "irritable"??!!!!
According to Landline magazine, OOIDA is sueing the state of MN over use of the checklist. I'd assume it would be in the Federal court system so that the results would supercede any other Stalinist political entities that would visit this stupidity upon us (Indiana for example.)Last edited by a moderator: Apr 21, 2009

Screw them. I say everybody do something to make their truck stop moving and see if they still have a problem once they learn they can't buy anything because there's nothing on the shelves. That is by far the dumbest things I've seen yet. Glad I won't be going back there anymore. Get a check for having a TV, PC and all the other items. WTF do they expect when you live out on the road, cheap thrills by shoving your thumb up your ### for entertainment? Eff that! I've only had my CDL a year but I'm seriously thinking about throwing it back at the government telling them to choke and die on it and find a monkey to do it because it's gotten to far out of hand. "United we stand" means we the people right(?) need to all stand up and tell them to go to hell. This is our country because if we don't then they will just continue to railroad us into nothing because at the rate we are going now that little piss ant BS right there will be what put's everyone back in the stoneage.
Anyone know how to contact these people directly because I will more than willingly be happy to write them a nice letter of what I think and feel as well as speaking out for many other drivers in saying to them to kiss our ###'!kwray Thanks this.
