@HoneyBadger67
The complete post is up now. My arthritic fingers punched up the wrong key for a moment.

Richard HERE with my unmufferlerd straight pipes!! I adhere to the town laws, that said I usually rattle right up to the sign. But if I’m on a grade like going over organ pass out of Las cruses those no Jake signs can eat it.
truckerfan24, Big_D409, Rubber duck kw and 2 others Thank this. -
@Studebaker Hawk
Is that Studebaker Hawk the car, or Studebaker Hawk from the Zappa album? -
If I'm at a roadside table catching a nap, the cacophony of an open system doing its job on a grade is actually comforting. It means there's at least one driver out there who has taken his foot off the accelerator instead of seeing how fast he can go downhill.Deere hunter and Lonesome Thank this. -
Deere hunter Thanks this.

Sounds like the OP is gonna learn what a Kangaroo court is

Right on, good for you!
Always liked the Studes, underrated and under appreciated, I think. -
I used to live within sight of the T intersection of 2 major PA highways. Rt 100 had a stop sign, lots of truck traffic stopping for Rt 309. I will let you geography experts figure out where that is.
For 30 years I listened to unmuffled engine brakes come to a stop when it was unnecessary, And then go through the shifts as they left the stop sign, spurts of jake brakes between every shift, which is hard on the driveline.
Muffled I didn't really care, but they had at least 2 miles of level pavement to come to a complete stop, use them until you get to about 25 mph, then shut them off if there are houses/businesses around.
Again, it is the abuse that causes this reaction.Gearjammin' Penguin, brian991219, roshea and 12 others Thank this. -
I met a driver about 40 some years ago with straight pipes that caused an avalanche.
Soon as he got home he put the mufflers back on and bought some new underwear.
