Do Not Work for Hendrickson!!

DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!! They are the most dishonest, abusive employer I have ever heard of!! My husband has been driving for them for 2 years now and, I swear, they must enjoy and take sadistic pleasure in screwing over their drivers. They make drivers wait all day long then at the last minute give them a load that requires them to drive all night with NO warning and NO sleep! They could care less if their drivers are killed on the road, they will just hire another. Maintenance? The crappiest trucks on the road and the mechanics never fix anything!! They tell you they can't find anything wrong (even "I" know when the problem is a faulty starter!!) and they wait until you break down on the road and have to call for road assistance to repair while the driver sits waiting on the repairs and not getting paid for his time! The mechanics get paid hourly to do nothing but oil changes as they let the trucks break down on the road so they don't have to work on them. They are constantly turning over drivers - and must have a turnover rate of 500% or more per year. Need time off? You are promised 3 days every 3 weeks, but 6 weeks out and they refuse to give him a load coming home. Have a serious doctor appointment and request time off 3 weeks ahead, like they ask you to do? They will make SURE that you are NOT home and give ALL loads going to your home town to other drivers just so you can't get there for your appointment. This is the most ABUSIVE employer I have ever known! I sincerely hope this company goes bankrupt!! If it does, it will probably save some drivers their lives!!!
