What is this "gone squid" that you keep referring too? Sounds interesting and I would like to hear more about the "gone squid".

    Well fill us in then....
Do they have cameras trained on the drivers?
Does a driver have to call in every day to see if he will be working or not? .... Or was this long gone driver not telling us the truth

Yes cameras in trucks. Yes you have to call in to see what you are doing if you are on nights. Plenty of work up here in MI. Too much some days it seems.
"Gone squid" is the goon squad otherwise known as the "Ace" drivers. They are OTR. Supposed to be the best of the best. Make big money.
The cameras are no big deal. Have never been called into the bosses office over something on the camera. They are primarily for CYA in case of an accident.

    Thanks for the clarification.

I work for FirstFleet doing grocery deliveries to Kroger stores across the southeast. Sounds like a similar gig. I love the grocery deliveries. It is easy work and the pay is great. I get paid for each stop, paid every time I hook a trailer, detention if my load isn't ready, and layover pay every night I have to sleep in the truck. Do you guys have a similar deal?

I see Sharp trucks running I-81 a lot, if it's the same ones I'm thinking of. Do you guys have the black trucks? If so, they are some nice looking rigs.

I dont know about any of that. It could be ours i suppose. I drive a day cab up here. We are responsible for loading and unloading our own freight. Have looked into what you do, but there is nothing where i could get home daily.
