In all fairness,i will first, state this. I worked for NDL in 2005,and they were an excellent company, then! Lots of miles, keep there word in all that they said and did,for me as a co-driver,very well satisfied! But,this time around,a BIG difference to say the least.I did all the homework i could in asking other Ndl drivers about there present experience's with there employer.Out of the dozen or so,one had a negative to say, which he did without hesitation or reservation. So,i encouraged a good friend who was looking to make a change in his money making situation to team with me for Ndl. He as well, did his homework and inquired as i did, told all the same things and chose to contact Ndl for the lowdown first hand for himself. He like myself, was told on 3 different ocassions the very same things, the rate of pay,the miles, hometime etc, etc, etc.Yep,we went to sellersburg,In for orientation{3 days} i see your lips moving but, your not saying anything!!! Red flags went flying for me and my friend to say the least! Now,granted,as drivers,we all know that orientation should be focused on safety, rules of the company and for being briefed on the do's and dont's of the companies policies, right? Yea,so much for info!!On day three, were thrown a truck,Whew!whats that smell! The truck was supposed to have been clean and ready, right?Well,i suppose if your a pig,it was clean and smelled like the pig died in the thing and was left to rot!Not to mention the animal hair all over.Am i expecting too much? so,here we go,first load as a team, grab a empty and head toward e-town for our load,Laredo tx.Alright! we get within 300 miles and we start playing pony express!!From that point untill one week later we sat more than we ran in hours and no miles on the clicker!Hummmmm! So,my partner after his 1st week goes home, leaving me solo.Being one not to quit at anything i do,i chose to give it a try.Wrong again!I sat more than i ran,in the 3 days after my partner quite,i had a total of 1140 miles and it did'nt look any better in the days to come. After another week i ended up with 2480 miles, of which 468 miles was from the previous week!!!Do the math!!So if that isn't enough,my partner gets his pay statement for the 4700 miles we ran as a Team, and orientation pay had been deducted from his pay and listed as an advance!!WHAT THE__ __ LL!!! Not to forget the dot physical to be deducted because, you dont stay atleast 90 days!! Imagine that! As i said at the beginning,at one time they were excellent to work for! But my advice to anyone considering National Distributors Leasing,DONT! They have Nothing To offer experienced drivers and very little for newbies. There's more, but it's for those interested in the info by asking! Hope this will help someone in making a good choice in regards to this company. To those who are happy there, good for you! As for myself and others, just isn't a good place!
