If you choose to go work for them I wish you luck but they have screwed all lease operators I have talked to including myself you will make more as a company driver for them but they will talk you into the lease so the truck fee's are on you. You will be told you can go back to being a company driver if you don't like leaseing and that is a LIE.

But you dont have to lease from them to be a company driver, correct? I wouldnt think they would not fire you or not give you loads because you didnt lease from them. Could be wrong since I'm a newb.

Go look at the other Trans Am threads.
They can sit you in the yard while you "wait" for a "Company" truck to open while those rental trucks (TA does NOT lease trucks! Read the Lease! It's a SUB lease or rental!) sit there rusting away because it's way to easy to get a driver to sign or sit there going broke when they can change the paper work and put you in that truck! But if they did that they'd actually have to pay you to work instead of getting YOU to pay them to work!

    Wow ...

They try to leverage you to lease / rent
While sitting you waiting on a open company unit

    That's nuts ....

Oh shoot Kentucky, from what I understand now, the push on leasing starts with the recruiters. Can't get enough decent, experienced drivrs willing to be fleeced so........

I used to work for Trans Am and I called them 2 years ago and they told me they were not hiring company drivers at this time. But if I wanted to lease a truck they will have me there in a second. lol almost did it back then never did never will.

Heck last month they had over 300 drivers quit one weekend if the rumors are true. All I know if every time I go to the Olathe yard there is about zero parking because of all the trucks parked everywhere from the people quitting, my truck with be with the others in 3 days now.
