Merry Christmas to you as well! After last week I am in no hurry to back that truck out of the drive. Even if I am not getting paid to sit at home!:biggrin_25523:

I had a crappy week. I did not leave until late mon. Drop was not until tues. I think I had 2000 some miles when I dropped in SC and I loaded and swapped trl's in calvert city ky on sat. I was sick I have not tallied the miles yet. I might have ticked off one of the peelot fuel attendants. They are getting so they can't get nothing right. You might be there an hour trying to get them to get the fuel ticket right. Either by messing up the points or saying you are not authorized to buy windshield wash or anti jel. Yeah, I am I can't help it if you are incompotent and can't do your job. Or you buy over $300 of fuel and your shower credit doesn't show up and you say something and they say well we can't do anything about that and I say yeah you can get a manager or the guy who cleans the showers maybe he can do your job.:biggrin_2554:

I am finally over that stuff, but it about killed me.

Mike gets paid for statutory holidays. He wasn't scheduled to work today because he works nights and they're closed so he volunteered to work today until noon. He finished at 5:00 p.m.!!! But at least we made up for the lost money from today. He'll probably work New Year's Eve, too. Money is just too tight.

This is the first time he gets paid for a statutory holiday since he became a trucker. So far, this company is the best he's ever worked for and I doubt he's going anywhere again! :)

    danc694u,

We don't get a bonus for working holidays, just double time and a half. I was the only driver out of 35 that worked today. It paid off in two fold for me. In one way, it helped pay for the gifts we bought. In the other, it kept me away from the in-laws and allowed me to watch football and have a beer or five home alone. Tomorrow is family day and I am looking forward to it. I don't have to go back until Wednesday morning and I am going to enjoy that as well. Good luck to all of you and may you be home to spend the time with your families.

    Drive safe
