Lets say I work for a big trucking company and I get a parking ticket while on home time, does the company just pay it or will they pass the cost onto me as well?

i got a parking ticket, once. in los angeles.

technically speaking. i was under their rules. but they didn't see it that way.

no parking on street unless loading or unloading. well, i was at my delivery. no room to just park for a couple of hours. while i waited for the crane to arrive. but i had plenty of room on the street.

i took a pic of a benjamin. and mailed that in.

I got a parking ticket a couple months ago down in Long Beach, it said "not between the signs" and the cop told me to move the truck ahead 100 feet then im good, still got the ticket and had to pay it myself...
like everyone said just be legal, the company did not tell you to park in that spot...

OTR is different, but im a local delivery guy and I can assure you that parking legally usually isnt an option for me. There are many companies that do pay parking tickets, just the cost of doing business in major metro areas.

If it happens on your home time you should pay it. Isn't it your responsibility to make sure you are parked legally?
