I got a parking ticket on the edge of downtown Portland once. Weekday, 5:30pm, no traffic, no parked vehicles, the area was deserted for the night. I needed to be there less than another 60 seconds to get a signature. The parking enforcement officer insisted I drop everything that instant and move my truck. I told her I'd take the ticket instead of driving around about 6 blocks and parking on the other side of the street. Guess how long that took...? I threw it away, assuming the powers that be had to know she was a complete #######. Never heard a word about it.
Do parking tickets come out of pocket?

The OP is asking about a parking ticket while on home time.. tickets that a driver gets while delivering.. especially at places where you hzve to park in a no parking area and wait would be different then a ticket recieved during hometime...
-
Tickets are always responsibility of the driver. Do your level best to find a place to park that is safe and you won't get a ticket for being there.
