    Have hauled beer, soda's, OJ, dog and cat food, furniture, and huge rolls of paper to printing plants. Yeppers, if it fits, it hauls. My company doesn't do hazmat tho.

    There are high bulky loads like empty containers that don't fit into reefers very well and there are loads that should only go in plate vans due to width, but the majority of freight can go on either, especially if it fits on regular pallets. Things that must be loaded on a wood floor( (flat floor), would need to go on a reefer with a wood floor, and those do exist.;

    Refers are a pain in the arse. They break down on you, You gotta top off thr refer with fuel before dropping it(hard to do when no truck stop around). They are heavier, Hard to sweep out ( I use a 18 volt blower). And they make a ton of noise. Other drivers get pissed at you cause they don't like the noise. It's not unheard of to wake up in the morning and find that some arse hole empitied his pee bottle on your hood. Another thing, when you pull a refer you got to deliv at all kinds of crazy times in the wee hrs of the morning. Yeah, I pull a refer.:biggrin_25510:

    Uh I had problems twice with a reefer. Rickr you must be pulling reefers that are 10+ years old. I can't hear the newer ones even while in the sleeper. As far as filling before dropping in the yard do it when you fill the truck. Most companies will pay for a washout if its required by the shipper. BTW many shippers require a receipt to prove the trailer has been cleaned.
