Farm work rarely backs up with out a spare acre (grain / hay / some equipment hauling) or at least it can be set up that way.
Do auto racks back up much?
I’m sure there’s a few flatbeders that might go backwards once a year.
Do sand hauling company road tests usually include backing?

Just do what you need to do to get whatever job you want and don't worry about it. You'll get more confident as you practice more.
If the prospective employer put makes you take some sort of stringent test just roll with it the best you can and take it from there.
Never be afraid to take as many pull ups as you need and get out to look whenever you're unsure of where you are and what's near you.
Any employer would rather you take a little longer to put it where it needs to go instead of you hitting something or someone.
Look at how people can't back at truck stops. Just remember there's always plenty of drivers worse than you. We all have to start somewhere.hope not dumb twucker, 201 and tscottme Thank this. -
Schneider & several trucking schools have videos on YouTube. Search there and watch 1 good video from a company or school over & over. DO NOT WATCH 37 DIFFERENT VIDEOS doing & explaining in their own way. It's going to prevent you from learning quickly. It like listening to 50 people give you advice on your beginning golf swing. I like the videos with a clear explanation (no stories about this one time...), an overhead view of truck & trailer, and landmarks on ground where you do X and then where you do Y.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
And the DMV test does not help you in that way.
How did you pass the DMV test?
As to post #10, only the DMV has a limit on pull ups and GOAL's. Testing at a company only requires that you get it in the hole without hitting something. Take all the pull ups and GOAL all you need.hope not dumb twucker and Iamoverit Thank this. -

Buster Brown line hauls never back up either. In the sand hauling, you may have to back under a belt, or back up to a pile, and if a dump trailer, generally not a 53 footer, not blind side in an alley, so your backing will be a lot less. Don't over think this, you'll be fine.

If the OP came to work for me and it turned out he couldn't back I'd wonder what else he lied about.
