Do scissor lifts require straps over the top?

    I saw one scooting down the road today. Chained and with one strap over the top so loose you’d a thought it was a porn star…

    That makes sense. I also was just thinking... I’ve seen plenty of forklifts being transported with no securement holding the forks down. That must be why.

    I passed on the straps.

    The chains are holding pretty good. There are a couple of ends opposite side of the binders that vibrate a little while driving. Not a lot, but enough I can see it.

    Those chain links snag on the corners of places I feed it through.

    Same thing happens to me on sharp edges. The vibration bothers me, but when I check them they're still tighter than a nun.

    After you have your chain tight, take your winch bar or a BFH and smack the chain a couple of times. Sometimes it will help get the bound up links to move enough to get it tighter.
