From my experience dealing with those security people most of them are ok.Can't really recall any bad encounter with them but if any of them ever tries to be rude with me he/she will get the same 2 fold. Most of them are I think outsourced workers working for a minimum or close to minimum wage.Once I pulled into some facility in GA to get loaded. There was the stop sign in front of the guard shack with "driver needs to stop here" or something like this.So I stopped and I sit in my truck waiting for him to come up to me.It was a hot day so I guess he preffered to wait for me in his air conditioned shack.I waited like 5 minutes then drove into facility.I am walking around looking for a shipping department and here he comes walking across pretty big lot."Why didn't you stop ?!"he goes.me""I did!" him "You should have come to the window!"me "who said so?" him "it's written there!" me"no it isn't!it only says I need to stop!" he looked dumbfounded at me.LOL.Long story short we split almost like friends ,wishing each other nice day and all that.He was a black dude (if that matters) and I am east european.

People are people--the good the bad and the ugly---met every type at security shacks---the key--at least from my perspective is---You're not goin to be there long enuff to matter....but at least in my short time at this....the wannabe storm troopers are outnumbered by folks of all kinds jus doin their jobs about 50-1......

I do my utmost to get along with security guards. Sometimes it works out. Other times.. I wait till they inspected my empty and I'm about to walk away to make a comment that isn't offensive. Just targeted specifically at their line of work to make them question their life. However, that's reserved for the one Walmart jerk that made me wait 15 minutes next to the open empty door while he kept checking trucks in.
Being nice no matter what helps sometimes. Vast majority of the time the guards don't have any real power over anything. Sometimes they do. It's always funny to stand in a long line of people checking in with security and be the only nice one to them out of the bunch. And then watch when I get to drive by the rest of the trucks since I've a door assignment before them somehow. -
You can't generalize security guards, anymore than you can stereotype truck drivers. Like any kind of person the kind of security personnel varies tremendously. Some are professional, courteous and helpful. Others, well like I said there's the good and the not so good. I've run into my share of both. At most sites I've had pleasant exchanges and even traded a few jokes with security.
On the other hand there's a place down in Texarkana that I can't go back to because I roared at an overbearing guard that I wasn't going to take their %®<!BUMBACLADWAR, RedRover, x1Heavy and 3 others Thank this. -
If they can! I'm fairly inexperienced but I think I've seen a hundred or so and I'd say there all pricks but if you treat them like their equal you'll be surprised how docile they can be.

The insecure wienerbite ones do. I found most to be nice, if not professional. That had more to do with MY attitude, and that of the company whose truck I was driving. You are always judged by the creep who came in before you and cussed everyone out and had a tude rolling up. Usually I could calm them down by the end of it all. Worst? AWG, KCK.
x1Heavy Thanks this.
