I use leather gloves-- one pair for driving and one pair for fueling, loading and tying down equipment.
Saves the hands from having the sun beat down on them and keeps things cleaner.
do truckers use special gloves to prevent hand fatigue?

I'm curious: What do you think is more stressful? The everyday life of a motor coach bus operator or the everyday life of an OTR truck driver? I would like to think that it would be the latter of the two, but I have read otherwise.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Im going to guess Motor Coach.
To be honest have a herd of them come off the tolls on 95 and Im trying to throw down some horse to get ahead of them. Just to get a clear road. In those days 100 is not a problem but those coaches are FAST. I guess if you had the same engines we had and half the weight, you are gone.
I rode greyhound a time or two, I decided I will not ride them again, because sitting there trying to sleep but a ear on that engine, if it is calm and cruise long enough I might sleep a little. But when the rpms fall off the air kicks on or a hard shift is made preparing to add more power... forget sleeping.
I don't wish to pick on the coachers, they do a wonderful people but by the time the sun comes up 50 people are ready to kill one another.
We had Baltimore with it's GM Fixit coaches that were very good for what they did downtown, but the drivers were... happy. As in your day is not a bad day, I am happy today 10 cents please. Maybe TOO happy in them days. I would guess that its a early push towards trucking what with them engines kicking the power long enough to get two blocks and then come off the hammer to find a corner to pick up and drop people. That was fun. But not for the driver I would imagine. Mr Happy did good. Every single time. ALways happy.JV_620 Thanks this. -

I think you'll find after awhile being out holding on to the steering wheel will be the last thing causing hand problems.

My curiosity was piqued, so I did some digging and found this. I'm assuming it's accurate, if anyone can refute it, please do so:

I'd try fingerless gloves with some kind of thin padding in the palms if the vibrations from the steering wheel starting causing discomfort.
