Think many drivers get evaluated by the public then they call the company.

Kidding of course.
The qualcomm does talk to me though. -
Con-way Truckload uses a service for this. I was followed for 7 or 8 minutes in Oklahoma. Not Tailgated, just followed and I did notice the Car wasn't passing like everyone else and didn't take the available exit like most cars that stay behind my truck in the Slow lane. So a couple weeks later I get a call from Safety and the guys asks if I remember being followed and I told him I did in Oklahoma. He said my performance was exceptional and gave the details of lane control, following speed, ect... Then he said I'd be recieving a $25.00 Walmart gift card in the mail for receiving a favorable review. I did get the gift card and splurged.

You people who say "if you are doing your job, you don't have to worry" bug me. Just being honest. Apparently you have no concept of privacy, personal freedom, life liberty and pursuit of happiness, presumption of innocence....or any of that kind of stuff. Yes, a driver should make every effort to do his job properly...but it is rather hard to do when you have to be looking over your shoulder for spies all the time. A company can tell a driver is doing his job right when all his loads are picked up and delivered claim free, and on time. And when there is no unexplained damage to the truck when he comes to the yard. And if the driver has no tickets, and has clean inspections, and a CSA score of zero or some other nice low number. A company can keep track of all that without spying and treating people like criminals.
MNdriver and DrtyDiesel Thank this. -
If you were on a warehouse floor, would you whine every time a manager glanced over in your direction? Whithout first yelling out, "MrEd, I am going to look in your direction!"

I think it could be a good thing if a company hired an outside firm to evaluate drivers. It would allow them to establish a statistical baseline from an impartial source. That is much better than knee jerk reactions to call ins from pissed off motorists or truck drivers with a bone to pick.
