I wonder if they're still there. I remember missing the driveway for the shipper as the sign was hidden by bushes, helped by the fact it was 10pm and ending up on a bridge over the freeway with NO TRUCKS signs. I stopped and pondered my situation. A local cop pulled up next to me and asked "Looking for Kodak?"
I said yes.
"Go forward and make a uturn in the intersection up across the bridge. Drivers miss it all the time because of that #### bush."
I thanked him and he drove off. Turned around and made my pickup.
For Northeastern states, Massachusetts still is my favorite one to go to. My stepdad is from Cape Cod so the accents are familiar, lol.
Do trucks have door locks?

Ah yeah - the Bahston accents!
I'm pretty sure Kodak went bankrupt a while ago. I know Polaroid in this area really screwed over their employees - closed suddenly and even the 20 + year employees never saw their retirement, pensions, etc. that they were paying into for decades. The company literally collapsed... -
You know maybe it was Polaroid. It was a film company. Keep in mind this was over 13 years ago, LMAO. Memory ain't what she used to be.
Load I brought home loaded out of the Foxboro warehouse at the corner of North Street and US1. -
Thirteen years ago is about right (I worked with an old guy who just retired from there when this happened and that was about 2000).
I know roughly where that is - not to far from Gillette Stadium (Patriots) -
Right next door in fact. I can't imagine the traffic around there on game days.
-
You're 100% right about that - in fact, I can't stand traffic on any given day in this area. Even the weekends have become bad!
-
It's like what in the devil would anyone want to steal undeveloped film for in the 1st place, must be some other need out there for it I guess.
-
Kodak must have feared there was an Ansel Adams wannabee running rampant, who wanted to make sure he had enuf supplies to get as skilled & famous.
-
Older film, and this includes X-ray film, has silver in it. It's leeched out. I worked at a scrap metal place that actually had a centrifuge that would collect silver from the developing chemicals too.

I just learn something today thank you .
