used em, didn't like since they struggled to get dirt out (flatbedder), tide pods work much better for my needs.

All truckstops have towels but there may be times you'll be showering at the terminal. Most terminals have towels but some don't.I would bring one just to be on the safe side.

I always have 4 or 5 in my truck and 1 in my bag for those times I don't trust the "standard equipment" offered by the t/s. Only used the spare a few times over the years. Does come in handy to have an extra one, though.

Most truck stops do have towels in the showers but you should carry one or two because like others have mentioned, not all terminal locations will have them, and if you stop at a service plaza on some turnpikes they have free showers for drivers but don't provide toiletries or linen. Also too, some customers, like Con-Way and Wal-Mart DC's, have facilities available for THEIR drivers and SOME of them will allow you to use the showers if you have your own stuff.

I also use my extra towels the rare times I find myself with time off, reset or something, and happen to be near friend or relative unexpectedly. That way I don't inconvenience them, or feel like I am anyway.

Also some of your smaller mom and pop t/s will have showers but they also charge for towel use. For example in Grand Junction CO, the t/s there the showers were 4 dollars but 5 dollars more for the towel. I personally take my own towel, body wash and shampoo. Also a lot of people forget to take something to wear on your feet while you are in the shower. Don't want somebody's funk on your feet.

    ATX Thanks this.

Yep, no softener and a gas dryer it comes out like 100 grit. It will remove any corn or callus you have. Warts? No problem! :)

Most the time I would bring my own towel in truckstops because I don't like the generic laundry soap they use for towels and wash clothes.

    ATX Thanks this.
