Do we have to keep our medical card on us at all times?

Thanks for that Linkcrxd I had no idea that was the law heck never met a driver that carried his or her longform

 

I never carried my Long form. That is locked in my safe in my house. Aint no DOT business how my stuff is

 

even though your card is registered with the DMV I would still have it with you.it would be the one time you decide to leave it at home a dot would ask to see it.

 

Read it again it refers to the card not the long form, don't have to carry either now. Most are carrying just the card to just be safe.

 

Well in Kentucky, it's not a pocket card...but it is small enough to fold in half over top of my cdl.

Carrying a long form around is not illegal but there is no reason a cop should need to see it.

 

I believe that's what he said to you, but, Carolina cops are dix. Until someone can show me some written law that I have to carry the long form around, I won't.

I still think the cop was wrong when he said it at that time. They aren't judges.

 

He did not see the form. He just asked me if I had it and I said somewhere in my papers. He let it go.

 

I think I remember from my class its required by law even tho most states scan the med card in the system if going no exempt interstate on the license.
