That's ridiculous. What does your mortgage have to do with the cost of trucking? Parking costs on the other hand are a perfectly reasonable cost to pass along [and assess] given truck volumes today, and eLogs and HOS rules. But keep fighting it of you want, but you're fighting a battle you lost a long time ago, and it's not going away because you pitch a fit.

Parking is a legitimate business expense for many people, not just truckers .

I think they resort to paid parking because they failed at every other aspect of running a truck stop. :)

    #### this thread is annoying.

If you don’t want to pay for parking...get there early or park somewhere else. If you or your company doesn’t mind paying for parking that’s just awesome.

    What’s next?

Why don’t they have an attendant fuel my rig?

Why do I have to translfo to get paid?

What? I have to go to orientation to get hired? Why don’t they just deliver a truck to me.

    Sorry if you’re offended. Seriously.

Exactly. Taking a load into an area where you know you will have to pay to park is no different than taking a load that requires a tarp or is over dimensional or anything else that will increase your time and costs. You charge accordingly.
