i keep hearing about rain providing a spot free rinse. those proponents are blind or all own gray cars. rain water is filthy. water spots are for the birds and you’d be better off leaving the dirt on unless you can clean the vehicle properly. apparently none of you have ever buffed a car.
oh - and yes, you’re nuts.Tb0n3 and otterinthewater Thank this. -
Is there no such thing as acid rain anymore?
-
It isn't from the rain. It's from all the dirt already on the vehicle.
Wash it during the rain to get the dirt off.
otterinthewater Thanks this. -
Not really, no.

There’s detailing and then there’s not looking like a filthy animal.
You’re right...washing in the rain gets the dirt off. That’s all I’m looking for. If I want it done right I’ll call the chick in post #19.

Heh, heh. She didn't bleach her hair to wash your truck. She did it to get a truck.
otterinthewater Thanks this. -
I think we should adopt more California policies nationwide. It would do the rest of the country good to get out there in the rain and wash their trucks by hand, not wasting water which is needed for various environmental causes.

Are you guys kidding, that's the best time to wash it, you don't need a hose. I even have a.spray bottle with Awsome soap(dollar store special) and if you spray foamy Engine Brite on the engine and chassis it gets rid of the oil and grease while yer going down the road.Oh yeah, I'm definitely nuts, the doc said so.
