I catch myself poking at the dash in my pickup to switch the jake on or off.

Before seeing this thread, I thought other people did this stuff too, but was too embarrassed to ask.

No it ain't... driving a go-cart with your donkey dragging the ground compared to a birds eye view... my field of vision is better up here...:biggrin_2559:

indeed. After a month in a truck when i get home and get in the car it feels like im driving a miniturized vehicle that sits to close to the ground. LOL and yes like others ive reached for the gear shift in my automatic car as well as the knobs for the air brake :D

My husband loves to trick me when in the car, he will randomly yell out, watch your trailer while I am making turns and I instinctively hit the brakes and check the mirrors and he sits there and laughs. One of these days I am going to install an eject passenger button.

I've found myself NOT making a turn onto a street I need to turn on because of a no truck sign in my car.

    2 more to add,

Your clutch slamming to the floor as you shift.

Forgeting to give it the gas as you start to let out the clutch

I miss the jake pedal on the floor. So many times coming up to a light, or down a hill I forget its not there. There's a foot rest right next to the brake in my car right where my jake would be, so it's natural to feel like it's missing.

My wife thinks its funny that when we climb a hill, I immediately get over to the slow vehicle lane without thinking.
