I have to DBL Clutch going down in my latest truck. It just doesn't like floating down.

I float em. If I'm going downhill and need to drop I'll use the clutch. During school and your roadtest I believe you'll need to double clutch.

double what? In driving school they got on our ### if we didnt double clutch.....but i float them all now

I don't even use the clutch to pop out of a gear most times. Letting off of, and then tapping, the throttle will usually work to get to neutral unless you are really bogged down in a gear (which means you weren't paying attention to your rpm's to begin with). -
He means 440 in NJ going into NY -
Hubby has found with students, that if the seat isn't adjusted right, they have more problems shifting without eating gears. Not true in all cases some are jut not caring I think.

I can shift awesome while floating ( I learned how to drive that way)... throw the clutch in and I'm not as good LOL
