As the title says, just looking for some input from The Experience guys. I think my maintenance department is really starting to hate me because all the maintenance request I send in. I typically spend around 10 minutes on each trailer I hook up to and I write down every single deficiency and send it in.

No, what your looking at is the sream of the retread. The tire will be fine but keep those mechanics in check. Your just doing your job and they don't have to like it.

Yeah I was just kind of curious on it. I know FMCSA States any separation of tread or sidewall. Maintenance request for this trailer was primarily for the brakes because as you can see they're cracked, I just made a little note and the maintenance request stating possible tread separation recommend mechanics opinion. After sitting here for the last 5 hours roadside comes up told me the same thing you guys did and maintenance never sent up the brake issue. So now I'm waiting for him to go back to the shop to grab brake shoes to come back and replace these. My first week solo on my own cranked out 2506 MI in 5 days. I run Monday through Friday Southeast Regional and I can usually make it to the house a few nights throughout the week. But these past two weeks have just been a big cluster. Last week I barely broke over 1500 miles. Every trailer I pick up.... I guess that's what you get for working for a mega carrier right

that just where the recap is sealed on to the casing, its good as long as its not bad enough to see steel belts under your recap

I would not have spent 5 hours sitting on the side of the road for that brake shoe. Finish your run then write it up when you get to a shop. I'm surprised you even get 1500 miles if you're writing up little piddly crap like that.

this is more like a thread spereration, than what you have.

check the tire inflation, and keep it a the recommended pressure. i can assure you that the shop would red line a bad tire, what you have is the typical recap flap.

Brakes are very important. That brake shoe in your picture, however, is perfectly fine. You also have 9 more brakes on the truck as well.
