Do you hold the steering wheel with 1 hand or 2 when driving?

I had a co=driver one time who drove with the bottom of his palm on the wheel. He said if there's a blowout and the steering wheel starts spinning, he won't break his hand with the steering wheel spinning crazily !!

I run a spinner knob at about the 7 or 8 o’clock position on the wheel. Left arm lays on the arm rest to where it’s relaxed and my hand is just right to use the spinner. The right is free to shift, turn Jake’s on off, grab cb mic, fly the bird, flick boogers, or scratch my rear end.

You're supposed to use your hands? I been doing it wrong all this time. My right knee has calluses as does my left elbow.

I still use one. When my truck was in the shop I had to drive one without the knob and I sure did miss it.
