ok then as you just said Verizon where your at at&t where I am at as it has the best in my area (within 10 miles any direction) My point was why not leave it at straight talk and not what map color to get (aka service). Red AT&T Blue Verizon

me I have a real service with at&t + backup phone for it and carry a backup unactivated Verizon prepaid just in case

i see your in Athins I can take to out side Russelville you won't and i will :)

can't say anything about Wyoming but Colorado no problems almost everywhere with at&t but Verizon no worky in many places mom complains all the time but its a company phone so deals with it. I do know AT&t is spotty in ND except on major roads not sure about Verizon up there. I will never say either work everywhere just know that in 15 years AT&T has worked in most places I have been and when not just a few miles down the road it does.

whoops sorry thought you had blue verizon the first time my mistake. I really don't know whats what only time i dealt with it was for a friend and we asked as we bought it then forgot it. LOL

I think I read somewhere AT&T is going to be doing its own unlimited pre pay for 35 or 40 but won't swear to it

I drove all over Colorado with my verizon phone and had exellent coverage, except a few small spots in the mountains. I never had att service in those spots either. Really att and verizon are very close in coverage. Maybe your mom needs a different phone. I started dropping calls after an update to my old phone, verizon switched me phones and now I have excellent coverage again.

I have t mobile for my main phone and Verizon for my backup phone and it's interesting that there are a few places T mobile has home coverage And Verizon is roaming. And there's a few spots in West Texas where neither one has coverage.

I didnt know how the qualcomm worked i thought it would serve as a phone since you could send emails and messages. I spent 5500 on my truck driving school and lost another 15 grand last year. Was just looking for a short term savings to build up what I lost especially since training pay is only 400 a week.

I can understand trying to save a little cash but a cell phone is pretty much a must now days. Like what has been said already many shippers/recievers will call you when they have a door for you or your paperwork is ready. Qualcomm runs off satelites and it does lose a signal from time to time and if you breakdown and your qualcomm has no signal then without a cell phone you have no way to contact anyone for help. there are also companies out there that the training pay is greater than $400 a week but I don't know your situation and you may have a reason for choosing the company you did.
