I just found out there's a DMV three miles away. Get a Uber and head over there early. This is probably the best solution. Thankfully, I'm good at taking tests.
Do you need tanker endorsement to haul totes full of liquid?

why not just tell your company you cant take it because its not legal? thats why companies get away with this #### because guys dont stand up for themselves.. if they tell you you have to take this load or get fired.. well you have a great lawsuit on your hand for wrongful termination.Tb0n3, MACK E-6, Trucker61016 and 9 others Thank this.

Around here. We have to make an appointment.
And you'd be smart to get all your endorsements except haz.
It's all just a simple test and a small fee added to your license.
Haz is something you'd have to think about. That one is a joke and the most expensive endorsement. Not worth having if you don't think you'll be using it.
I've had mine 20 years and it's going bye bye on my next renewal.Siinman Thanks this. -
The problem is, I took the load then drove 200 miles with it before thinking about a tanker endorsement. Never had this happen before.tscottme, Trucker61016, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this.

i would tell whoever your contact is within your company. "I am taking it back because its not legal for me to drive it. then you can find me another load. and next time, you guys need to be on your game before you send me on a load im legally not qualified to haul. " and if theres any pushback then tell them transfer me to safety dept... see how fast they change their tuneTrucker61016, pumpkinishere, JC1971 and 1 other person Thank this.

Except, I could get pulled in to the Chowchilla scale. I don't think I'm going to drive anywhere. If the DMV doesn't let me in without an appointment, I'll have to call the company. Not wanting to get a big ticket.kemosabi49, Trucker61016, pumpkinishere and 2 others Thank this.

do what you think is the safest . it will destroy your career if you get caughtpumpkinishere and JC1971 Thank this.

Hazmat endorsement requires fingerprint also.
Trucker61016, D.Tibbitt and JC1971 Thank this. -
Shipper probably won't accept it back.
I'd keep going since it's the weekend, but I'm not advising you to do the same.91B20H8, D.Tibbitt, pumpkinishere and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well, your boss can be a little pissed off now if you drop the load or he can be a whole lot more pissed off if you get caught, the trailer is placed OOS, he has to jump through a bunch of hoops to repower the load, go to court, pay a bunch of money, and have his name added to the list of problem children at all the scales.
If I was him I'd be a little irritated but if that's the worst thing that happens all day it wasn't really too bad at all.
You might get chewed on a little. You have that coming. But...if he really makes a big deal out of it and throws a tantrum just tell him he got off light, you made the best decision you could under the circumstances, you won't do it again, and if he keeps on chewing you're going to find some place else to work.baha, kemosabi49, Trucker61016 and 4 others Thank this.
