Do you park wherever you can at truckstops?

I’ve seen guys taking 10hr breaks at the broken feul islands at the pilot in Syracuse NY. Ive gone to feul early in the A.M and when I return in the afternoon they are still there.

 

It's one thing for drivers to do this at 1 AM, when every spot is full. My question is, why are so many lazy $#!ts doing it at 1 PM, when the lot is not even 50% full? Too lazy to even look for a pull through? Lousy at backing up? Too fat to walk more than 50' for the Hostess Mini Donuts mega pack? And for the record, these are NOT folks just running in for a minute, or oversize loads/weird rigs, doing their 30 min, etc. They are drivers there for at least a 10 hour. I see it everyday.

 

Common courtesy is no longer common.

 

and people wonder why I avoid mega truck stops and mega fleet drivers like the plague.

It never use to be like this...

What are they teaching you people in these CDL mills ?

Well last I knew they didn't have any terminals up that way. NC/VA, but the vast majority if their loads are furniture to new England. They could get you home.
