Even though I agree with you on him being a dick, you should not fight fire with fire on our roads. You should just back off because you're not going to gain that far ahead anyway.A slow truck passing a slow trk thats alot of work, lol.
Do you pass trucks governed 1mph less than you?

Now, if its that little difference in the trucks speed, but the fellas in the left lane are whipping down the road, I stay out of their way until its clear and then creep on past.Last edited: Aug 15, 2016

Years ago I was in California letting gravity do its job on a hill. It was night and raining. Then I heard on the CB, "This is the Highway Patrol at the bottom of the mountain. If you make me get wet, you are getting a big ticket. Slow down." Everyone slowed down, he was there as promised, didn't give any tickets. That's the first time I realized they hate the weather as much as we do so I give them as little reason as possible to get out, get mad at me and give me a ticket.Last edited: Aug 15, 2016

I do slow down even when a 65 mph truck passes me on flat ground.
,
I was northbound on I-55 below Bloomington, IL, it took 8, yes EIGHT MILES for JB Hunt to pass me, when I took the ramp to I-39 and he stayed on I-55 he was maybe 100 feet ahead of me.
.
And on hilly terrain, the governed speed doesn't really matter. Slow trucks are able to pass way faster trucks. Hills are magical.
.
But on flat ground, if you're behind a slightly slower vehicle, you have to know...you have to know...

I'm in a 62 mph truck and I run under the governed speed. Some of the slowest people to pass are the 65+ trucks because they fricken slow down when they pass. Walmart , FedEx, UPS, Conway, etc will slow down and match speed for a while waiting for the signal that it's OK to pass... I'm not weaving around or doing anything spooky either, wth.
Left lanes are for passing.Lepton1 Thanks this.
