At first, I didn't understand it. I thought I was doing good until I got audited for going over the 14 hour mark. Every day for the first month I drove. I wasn't taught wrong...I just misunderstood. I had thought that anytime you go to Line 1, you pause your 14 hours until you go back to Lines 3 or 4. When I got audited for working 17/18 hour days, I had to take a log class and immediately we figured out what was wrong. Nopw I don't see how anyone can NOT understand it, lolol.

Great lesson is learned and that's all that is expected!

It is now drive 11. 10 in sleeper. If you split has to be a 8-2 split only. After 34 consectative hours off you get your 70 back. Can't drive after being on duty for 14 hours. Magic numbers are 11,14, and 70

No there is no such rule and has never been such a rule. Some states say you have to but No FEDERAL has ever been made. You can legally drive 11 straight hours, however it's good to take a break in there:biggrin_25522:

If you are a "loca driver" 100 air mile radius (unless a NON-CDL holder, which is 150 air mile radius) you are technically only allowed 12 hours of working time (time card of some sort), however if you fill out a log sheet you can work up to 14 hours a day, so if you work more than 12 hours a day and are within the 100 air mile radius the best thing is to fill out a log sheet.

Not sure what you qualify for so let me know and maybe I can help you more :biggrin_25521:
