Do you recommend a good product that works like a sink?

I have been searching a lot and when I do find a product that does what I want, it has bad reviews. I would really like to have running water. Perhaps I would have to create my own using a sump pump and something to catch the run off, but I am hoping there is a simple sink and pump already. I spend the night at a lot of shippers that are closed and would like to have a portable sink. Right now I use a spray water bottle but miss having running water. Do you know of a good product that does this?

Perhaps something like in a RV setup. Don't know what all it takes, but you would have to have a way to empty the water at perhaps a dump station in order to stay legal.

Or how about something like a jug of some sort higher than the sink, I would imagine it would need a air valve of some sort to keep the water from getting an air lock perhaps. And then the sink with a drain pipe into a 5 gal bucket. Once again not sure how legal this would be except maybe you could empty it in public bathrooms.

The next thing is the room it would take and where would you store the waste water, etc. The catwalk comes to mind as a possible place.

I would check with RV dealers or camping stores.

You can go to a boat website like overtons, westmarine or such and they sell all kinds of holding tanks for houseboats and yachts. You could even use the white plastic fuel tanks if you wanted too. Then rig two small tanks up with a 12V pump, switch and small bathroom boat sink. You can put the tanks under the bunks then plumb with flex tubing. All that stuff is available on them websites.

Here is a little set up for around $40.00. It seems to have everything, including the kitchen sink. :biggrin_2559:

Just noticed the camping sink. That's your best option I believe.

Friend of mine at the end of the day goes into the back of his trailer, closes the door, (Roll up doors mostly) and uses a couple of gallon jugs of water.
By the way, that kind of water can be drained to the ground, it is not considered black waste. It's just water with a little soap in it.

Jack is correct, you can dump this water right on the ground, Just do not use it to go to the restroom in it, them you will not be able too,
OK simple camping sink, Get two 5 gal buckets, one with a good sealing lid, Place them on top of each other, bottom one is fill of water with the sealed lid, and a simple foot pump to pump it up to the top one, can ever go one step more and place one of those coffee mug heaters inside the bottom bucket and will have Hot water. them just dump the top bucket and store it under the supply bucket. Old campers sink, made simple and easy to store.
